The Arkansas River Trail System offers miles of pet-friendly pathway where canines can sniff, stroll and socialize.
On the trail, dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 10 feet, and owners must bring them to within four feet when other trail visitors are nearby. Owners must pick up and properly dispose of pet’s waste.
Off leash experiences are available at dog parks on both the Little Rock and North Little Rock sides.
Burns Park in North Little Rock has a three-acre dog park with one acre each for small, medium and large dogs. Water and bags are available on site. Visitors are asked to bring no more than two dogs per person, and dogs must have vaccination tags. The dog park is located on Tournament Drive.
Paws Park in Little Rock is the city’s first fenced off-leash park for dogs. This Little Rock dog park includes two acres for large dogs and half an acre for small dogs. Rest rooms are located in the nearby playground area. All rules for the park are located on their website. The Little Rock dog park is located on Rebsamen Road in Murray Park. From downtown visitors should follow Rebsamen past the golf course to Murray Park, and Paws Park is on the right.
